International Students

The applicant must be able to read, speak, and write English sufficiently well to pursue a full-time program of study. Because it is necessary for you to have the ability to use and understand English as well as native American students, you must verify your proficiency through examination. An International Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) is required of all international applicants whose native language is not English. The TOEFL is administered in most countries by the Educational Testing Service. Please have your official TOEFL results sent directly to the Office of Admissions at Porterville College.

Upon receipt of ALL forms and required academic records and TOEFL scores, we shall send you the certificate of eligibility (Form I-20) which is necessary in obtaining a student visa. Note that this Form I-20 is good only for the semester for which it is issued. If you complete all the admission requirements and it is determined that you will not be admitted, a denial letter will be sent to you. Your application will not be precessed IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS SO THAT ADMISSIBILITY CAN BE DETERMINED.
