Assessment is a process of gathering information about an individual to facilitate student success. Assessment testing is used to measure your writing, reading, and mathematics skills in order to assist you in selecting program goals and specific courses. Test results, along with other assessment criteria, provide counselors with important information to assist them in providing guidance to you. Assessment sessions usually last about 2 ½ - 4 hours depending on which assessment is taken.
After completing an admissions or update form, you can make an appointment for the assessment in AC-126 or by calling 559-791-2329.
The assessment is required if you plan to take an English, math, or other class with related prerequisites.
Students can also request an English as a Second Language special assessment and special accommodations for students with learning disabilities.
