Where is the bookstore located?

The bookstore is located in the Student Center building, next to the cafeteria.

What are the hours of the bookstore?

Although subject to change, the normal hours while classes are in session are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

How much do books usually cost?

The cost of textbooks varies from class to class. Students could expect that the costs for all of their textbooks during a term for a full-time student to be around $500.

Can I purchase my textbooks online?

Yes. You are not required to purchase your textbooks from the college bookstore. However, if you choose to purchase your textbooks from another business, you must make sure you are purchasing the exact textbook/edition used in class.

What if I can't afford to pay for my textbooks?

Students who qualify for financial aid or one of the categorical programs on campus, may have their textbooks paid for through that source. You may also want to consider seeing if the books is on reserve in the library and to also purchase used books, rather than new ones, since they are cheaper. Regardless, you will be expected to have a textbook, or have access to one, during the term.

When should I buy my textbooks?

Some students purchase their textbooks a week or so before school starts while others wait to purchase their books the first day of class. Regardless, you should purchase your books as soon as you are able to and not wait until classes are well underway.

If I drop a class, can I return my textbooks for a refund?

Yes. You may get full refund for the textbook if you return it during the first two weeks of the term and show the class drop slip to the bookstore staff. After that, you can return your books at the end of the term during buy-back time and receive generally only around half-price back. Make sure that you keep the receipt when you purchase your books.

After the term is over, can I return my textbooks for cash back?

Yes, there is a buy-back time in which you can return your textbooks. Generally, you will receive around half-price back.

Are my textbooks available in the library for check-out?

Some textbooks are on reserve in the library that you can use in the library, but you cannot check them out and take home with you.
