Where is the nurse’s office located?

It is located on the east side of the SM forum across from the library.

What services does the nurse provide?

The nurse provides campus emergency care, first aid, nursing assessment and treatment of common acute illnesses and infections, TB tests, blood pressure screening, selected immunizations, etc.

Do I have to make an appointment to see the nurse or can I just drop-in?

You can drop-in; however, it may be necessary to schedule an appointment depending on the nature of your medical needs.

Do I have to pay a fee for the services of the nurse?

No.

Is the nurse an RN, LVN, or physician’s assistant?

The nurse is a Registered Public Health Nurse (RN).

I am a night student, is the nurse available during the evening hours?

Yes. The nurse is available on selected evenings. Please call 791-2212 to find out what evenings she is available.

Can I get aspirin or other over-the-counter medication at the center?

Yes.

What kinds of health testing or screening is available by the nurse?

The nurse provides basic wellness and health screening, TB tests, blood pressure, pregnancy and others.
